MMA fighter vs Navy seal.Who will win.
There many versions of this question and most of the answers are pretty silly.
It usually doesn’t matter whether a SEAL is “trained to kill”, trained to ignore pain, and trained to win by any means necessary. they are close in size, an elite SEAL’s chances of beating an elite professional MMA fighter in a cage, are similar to those of beating an elite professional basketball player on court. The SEAL is getting destroyed in first round, end of the story.
Of course mindset matters. Of course toughness matters. But not as much as training and experience matters. Please consider the men below:
Navy seal training.
Lets talk about the training of a navy seal
A typical Navy SEALS trains in:
fighting, swimming, obstacle courses, medical training, parachute jumping, team exercises, boat training, hydrographic surveys and charts, diving, weapons, demolition, underwater demolition, land navigation, patrolling, rappelling, marksmanship, infantry tactics, small-unit tactics, etc.
MMA FIGHTERS TRAINING.
Now lets see the training of a MMA fighter.
A typical MMA fighter trains in: fighting.
Get the idea?
Now lets mix up the
trainings abilities of both
MMA fighter and
Navy seal.
Hand to hand combat is a fraction of SEAL's training. Fighting people without weapons is not what they do, and is not what they are paid to do. A typical
Navy SEAL is deadly with his hands, and can beat up anyone. Except for an actual professional fighter whose sole purpose in life is fighting. A
professional fighters lives and breathes fighting. It's in their reflexes, their muscle memory. Fighting is their profession. This is all they do.
Just like a
SEAL, professional fighter's main objective is to incapacitate their opponent as quickly as possible. They know all of the same vulnerable areas of human body as soldiers do, but they are much better at delivering maximum damage to those because of their specialized training.
Just like a SEAL, professional fighter is taught to ignore pain and will continue fighting with broken bones or torn ligaments without slowing down or flinching. This is not something they went through in training. This is something which happens each day, something they used to, something that is the part of their job.
I'm sure there are many exceptions, and there are some bad ass SEALs out there that can end a professional fighter in a cage, or win a race against
a NASCAR driver. But these would be outliers. No disrespect to
SEALs, they are better men than me, and are truly the best at what they do - not cage fighting.
