As others said, professional wrestling is "fake" sofar because they're not looking to hurt each other but only they show like this. What you see the product of wrestling minds is trying to put together as entertaining match as possible. This looks very different from wrestlersto wrestlers, beacuse all the wrestlers have thier own style to fight with other. In WWE the most successful and popular wrestler is one who plays entertaining matches consistantely
How WWE decides who will win.
The WWE matches are played with the title or without titl to winning a match or a championship, that's where booking comes into it. Again, as others pointed out, "booking" means that anyone who is making all these decisions. If it's a match that doesn't mean much, you don't need Vince McMahon to call the shots.
You have only writers and agents for putting the matches between two or more wrestlers. The actual matches are usually played in the ring while some of the matches are played on the ground also like locker room match one man standing are the most popular among Before the match wrestler do practice with each other which helps them to know whta they have to do in the ring on the front of thousands of peoples .
Sometimes some of the moat impactful moments, are always determined especially if one of the wrestlers had a particular story to tell with peoples. All these facts force peoples to think that the wrestling is fake and all the matches are scripted.
Wins and losses are usually occurs to a advance storyline.you know that the wrestlers are punished if they do something wrong so thats why Sometimes a wrestler will go on extended losing streaks as a of punishment which decreases the rating and rank of the wrestlers.
When a wrestlers do something special WWE elevated them to champions despite having no skills for that level.Indian Jinder Mahal is one of the most famous example of such type. They will booked in that a way and hopefully makes it credible, because WWE fans don't often understand and care about this they do not think why this happens.
Another thing that. is very difficult to grasp wrestlers who are very very hard to categorize. Bray Wyatt is a heel but he's embraced by the fans as a face. but fans want to see him succeed.Bray is with WWE for a long long time but he can not get that popularity as some of the wrestlers have.
You would see that someone like Triple H or Randy Orton have success as heels with multiple championship titles, and then someone like Bray, he was WWE champion was booked, well, as a heel, who was always lose his title in all big matches, against someone like randy undertaker who had same role that he does.
when you have people like John Cena and Roman Reigns, who are booked as faces, their fans hate to see win. Maybe because they DO win too much time. Where Cena develop the reputation of the Big Match John, where he has got the ability like WWE hall of famer Hulk Hogan to beat anyone who come in the front of this man jhon cena, Reigns always booked to have to fight for the wins, in his big all the matches. In that sense, it seems that WWE booked all these matches.
WWE has been booking Reigns as an underdog in a world where the players like jhon Cena and Brock Lesnar still exist. He had never been presented to be at their levels. Cena is constantly booked as having to silence his critics, even his peers, but getting a win against him is still so much difficult, and more often happens as a surprise than something his opponent gets to earn.So with all these facts we got the point that all the matches in WWE are booked.
